Crockpot Lentils and Rice

I found a recipe on and modified it slightly. It is super easy and delicious.


  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 Tbsp curry powder
  • 1 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 3 ½ cups vegetable broth
  • ½ cup lentils
  • 1 vegetarian bouillon cube – make sure they are parve, gluten-free and yeast-free if you need that. Many aren’t. We like Rapunzel Pure Organic Vegetable Bouillon with Sea Salt & Herbs.
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 onion, diced


Combine all the ingredients in a crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, stirring once in a while.

Four servings.
